To all former and present Irresistible Gaming community members, After being in operation for 8 years in SA-MP, it has came to a final decision by myself (Lorenc) to terminate the server operations on the 15th of November, 2019. Despite being offered another attempt to sell out, I made the final realisation that it is just best that official server content starts and ends with me. SF-CNR originally was a freelance project that I was paid to code for $80 or less in late 2011. This client had paid me a deposit, but then disappeared out of nowhere. My Call Of Duty For SA-MP server had died at the time, and I wanted to start a new project. While freelancing, I also was an admin with Pressie of another SF-CNR server. This server died soon after. And it reminded me of my SF-CNR script that I had in my storage. So I decided to run it. No admin system, nothing. Very basic, but fun. And here we are. The DM mix in the server came from another server I played between 2008 and 2010 which was very fun, but unfortunately died as well. SF-CNR is the reason why Cops And Robbers server in SA-MP allow DM. Simply put, it worked. The SF-CNR legacy will continue to live forever onwards. Thanks to Stev, Nibble, Banging7Grams, Kova, Queen and Panther ... the server is Open-Source. You can run the server if you ever feel like you can do a better job than I can at it. And if you do better, I will be genuinely happy for you. I am at a point in life where I am transitioning to look at life more seriously, and venture out into other things. I work now, I study, I learn every day different things. Running the server after so many years takes a toll on you as an owner. The ups and downs, etc... That's why so few are left that are very aged. For me, it was getting repitive, and I just simply was not learning anything new. I wanted to quit being a leader late 2017 because the time investment just was not worth it. I was putting in 20h+ a week to see barely any growth in the playerbase, the growth stalled still, etc. Then Banging7Grams recommended the idea of crowdfunding, and I furthered that idea into IC crowdfunding where we managed to successfully implement that in the UCP. Crowdfunding always worked for us. Although, it got to a point where even money just was not enough. There was no learning, nothing new being achieved. It certainly made players more active when we got them out, but I was not growing at all. It became like a worse than minimum wage job - and we were running out of ideas. I could have sold hotels etc. in-game for instant money, but I felt pretty bad to go to that extent, since our VIP renewals were doing quite fine anyway. It was just unnecessary. Late 2018, I set a goal to completely relieve myself from ownership by March 1st 2019. But it was hard to just simply give it away while it still made money. And I kind of feel like the creator of SA-MP is in the same position. I'd rather have run it to $0/month in revenue than give it to someone for free. This was all my sweat and tears and to just give that freely? No way. What's the point? Not only that, a lot of the clients/donors I dealt with would be uncomfortable if I just gave away their data to some person that did not want to make any investment in the server anyway. It was either sell it or die with it. Me and Damen did were working on a contigent plan to sell it after evaluating if it is worth it after a few months, but evaluated it was not worth it provided school was taking into place. I took the server back, and decided to run it until the playerbase had been reduced to as little as possible. He has been of great help still to this day. I went all in with every dollar I had in my PayPal account to create SF-CNR in the beginning. I went 2 months with no VIP system, no money, then my first donor, magicman, gave SF-CNR its first $5 donation - enough for the 3rd month and here is where that $5 lead us. We got to a peak playerbase of 175 in 2014-2015. Went from 125 players to 0 three times (Eazy_E, Smoshi, Banging7Grams will never be forgotten for their help). But after doing it three times, I could not be bothered to retry for a fourth time. It was exhausting, and when I got to 100+ players for the third time I just didn't care. People would kill for that chance, albeit it was all blasé for me. This community created a path for me in my career that I will certainly not forget and will miss. Without it, I would have not landed my first internship. It has given me leadership skills and an expertise in the digital age. Thank you also to the people that helped me in the past, here are names that I remember that give me good vibes, and amazing memories.
